Now that the days are getting colder, I like to settle myself in front of the fireplace, all cozied up in a big jumper and accompanied by a good book. Even though I adore making nice autumn walks and dancing through the fallen leaves, it's sometimes really nice to escape the cold and darkness of winter and snuggle up with something to read.
I know for some people reading might seem boring, but I love to get carried away in a beautiful story. Here are my favorites:
- The Help, Kathryn Stockett
- The boy in the Striped Pyjamas, John Boyne
- A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini
- The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini
- The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks
- The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafón
- Breakfast at Tiffany's, Truman Capote
- Shopaholic, Sophie Kinsella
- Bergdorf Blondes, Plum Sykes
- The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger
- Sonny Boy, Annejet van der Zijl
- Atonement, Ian McEwan
- Bridget Jones's Diary, Helen Fielding
- Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austin
- The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
- About a Boy, Nick Hornby
- The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank
- Marley and Me, John Grogan
- Sarah's Key, Tatiana De Rosnay
Please share your favorites in the comments below! Now if you will excuse me, I'm going back to my book, I still have a few chapters to finish....
Love,
Rose
