always find a reason to smile

There are a million things in this world that can upset you, but you should always focus on the beautiful little moments in live that make you happy deep down inside. Everybody has bad days. Everybody has problems. And that's okay, you're human! But just remember that with a smile you can cheer up your day (and someone else's).

Laughing so hard your stomach hurts

Crawling into bed after a long day

Seeing the sunshine trough your curtains

Sleeping in your own bed after beeing away

Cute sneezes

Wearing your pyjamas all day

City lights at night

Pretty skies

Summer nights

When your pet cuddles up next to you

Changing into sweatpants after a day in skinny jeans

The excitment of your pet when you come home

Not being able to finish a joke because your laughing to hard about the ending

Founding out someone does the same weird things as you do

Finanlly remembering a word you had on the tip of your tongue

Re-reading old messages/facebook conversations

Midnight snacks

The smell after it rains

Uncontrollable laughter

Sleeping on new sheets

Untouched snow

Being able to rub your eyes on a makeupless day

Finding something you lost

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin

When your favorite movie comes on tv

Looking through old photoalbums

A child's unlimited imagination

Watching someone you love sleep

When people drive you home and wait till you're inside before driving away

Waking up to the sound of birds singing outside your window

Let your smile change the world, but don't let the world change your smile!

Rose

A Very Merry Glitzy Glamorous Christmas

Hello lovely's

December is the most beautiful, cheerful and lovely time of the year in blogging world, and I was so looking forward to writing cosy stories and charing christmassy pictures. Instead I spent my time studying, working and having fun with family and friends (also very important!)... And before I knew it Christmas was there.... It's just insane how the time flies, honestly has 2012 even existed??

But my little time off blogging, has given me new energy and motivation. I hope to greet you with tonnes of lovely post in the new year..
And until than I like to wish everyone a wonderful time this Christmas, and a magical New Year!
Enjoy the lovely food, sweet presents and cute last few days of this season of cheer. And spend your time with the people you love the most!

Lots of love,

Rose

Happy Thanksgiving!

Even if you don't celebrate Turkey Day, today is still the perfect day to be grateful for all the loveliness around you!

I like to thank my friends and family (cheesy, I know!) and of course all the delicious food I'm planning on eating today.
Also a massive thank you to my amazing, blogger friends. Your comments always make me smile!

I think that from now on I'm officially aloud to get excited for Christmas, and play my Christmas playlist on my iPod, so expect a lot of Christmassy post the next couple of weeks!

Hope everyone has a amazing and especially a delicious (turkey) day!

Love,

Rose

FEED YOUR INNER NERD

Now that the days are getting colder, I like to settle myself in front of the fireplace, all cozied up in a big jumper and accompanied by a good book. Even though I adore making nice autumn walks and dancing through the fallen leaves, it's sometimes really nice to escape the cold and darkness of winter and snuggle up with something to read.

I know for some people reading might seem boring, but I love to get carried away in a beautiful story. Here are my favorites:

  • The Help, Kathryn Stockett
  • The boy in the Striped Pyjamas, John Boyne
  • A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini
  • The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini
  • The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks
  • The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafón
  • Breakfast at Tiffany's, Truman Capote
  • Shopaholic, Sophie Kinsella
  • Bergdorf Blondes, Plum Sykes
  • The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger
  • Sonny Boy, Annejet van der Zijl
  • Atonement, Ian McEwan
  • Bridget Jones's Diary, Helen Fielding
  • Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austin
  • The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • About a Boy, Nick Hornby
  • The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank
  • Marley and Me, John Grogan
  • Sarah's Key, Tatiana De Rosnay

Please share your favorites in the comments below! Now if you will excuse me, I'm going back to my book, I still have a few chapters to finish....
Love,
Rose

Scarfs

Hello beauties!

I have a slight obsession with scarfs. Let me rephrase, I have a huge obsession with scarfs.  There's simply nothing that makes me feel so cosy and safe. And now that we've left the summer months behind, it's time to get that knitted snuggly bundle of warmness around our necks again.
The bigger the better.

ZARA has a lovely collection this season. If you're still looking for a nice knitted winter scarf, you should have a look on their site. I've made a little selection of my favorites...

Love,

Rose
